Sales department
Pipelines rarely stall because the product is wrong. They stall because follow-up slips, the CRM stops describing reality and nobody owns the middle of the funnel. Nexoryl builds that layer as a department and runs it against the targets you set.

Overview
What does a Nexoryl Sales department do?
A Nexoryl Sales department is a managed offshore sales desk that works your pipeline every day — building lists, running outbound sequences, qualifying inbound enquiries, booking meetings and keeping the CRM accurate — while your own team keeps the commercial conversations and the closing.
It is a function, not a placement. Nexoryl designs the desk around the number you are trying to move, recruits and trains the people, writes the sequences and call guides as documented process, runs the daily stand-ups and reports on the same measures your sales leadership already uses.
Most engagements begin narrow — one motion, one market, one segment — and widen once the operation is producing at a predictable rate. See how a department is built
Scope
What the department owns, and what stays with you.
Scope is agreed in writing during design and reviewed as the function matures. The split below is the one most teams start with.
Nexoryl owns
- Target list building, research and data enrichment
- Outbound sequencing across email, phone and LinkedIn
- First response to inbound enquiries within the agreed window
- Qualification against your criteria, and meeting scheduling
- CRM hygiene: stage discipline, notes, next steps, dedupe
- Pipeline reporting and the inputs your forecast depends on
You keep
- Pricing, discounting and commercial authority
- Contract negotiation and signature
- Positioning, brand voice and the offer itself
- Final decisions on which segments to pursue
- Relationships with named strategic accounts
Where you want the desk to carry deals further, that is a scope change with its own roles and measures, not an assumption.
Responsibilities
What the team handles every day.
Each responsibility is documented as a procedure before the desk goes live, so output does not depend on who is on shift.
List building and research
Accounts and contacts matched to your ICP, verified and enriched before anyone is contacted.
Outbound sequencing
Multi-step email, call and LinkedIn sequences, with the copy and cadence tested and revised on evidence.
Speed to lead
Inbound enquiries answered inside the agreed response window, every working hour of your coverage.
Discovery and qualification
Structured qualification against your criteria, with the reasoning written into the record, not just the outcome.
Meeting booking and handover
Calendars filled with context attached, so the person taking the call is not starting cold.
Follow-up and nurture
The long tail of "not now" worked deliberately instead of being left to decay in the CRM.
Pipeline hygiene
Stages, next steps, close dates and owner fields kept accurate, because the forecast is only as good as the record.
Reporting inputs
Activity, conversion and coverage reported on your cadence, in the same terms your leadership already uses.
Operating model
How the function runs, day to day.
The same operating loop runs behind every Nexoryl department. What changes is the work inside it. The full engagement is described in How It Works.
-
01
Design
We agree the motion, the segment, the qualification bar and the measure that defines success, then size the desk against it.
-
02
Build
Roles are recruited and trained on your product, your objections and your buyers before any live contact is made.
-
03
Document
Sequences, call guides, qualification rules, objection handling and escalation paths are written down and version-controlled.
-
04
Connect
Access to your CRM and sequencing tools is granted at the permission level you approve. No parallel systems, no exported lists.
-
05
Operate
Daily stand-ups, live queue management, weekly pipeline review with your team, and a Nexoryl manager accountable for the output.
-
06
Improve
Sampled call and email review, conversion analysis by step, and deliberate changes to the sequences that are not converting.
Team
Who sits in the department.
A starting shape, not a fixed one. The mix is sized during design and changes as volume and complexity change.
Sales development representative
Runs the daily outbound and inbound workload: sequences, calls, replies, qualification and CRM updates.
Core of the deskSenior SDR / team lead
Handles complex accounts and escalations, coaches the desk, and owns sequence quality and call standards.
From the first hireSales support / CRM administrator
Keeps data clean, builds and maintains lists, prepares proposals and quotes, and runs reporting.
Part or full timeOperations manager
Nexoryl's accountable manager for daily output, capacity, scheduling and the weekly review with your team.
Every departmentQuality analyst
Samples calls and emails against a scorecard, calibrates with your team, and turns findings into coaching.
Shared or dedicatedMeasurement
How the department is measured.
These are the measures a sales desk is normally run against. Targets are agreed with you during design — we do not publish benchmark numbers, because they mean nothing outside a specific market and offer.
Qualified opportunities created
Opportunities that pass your qualification bar, not meetings booked.
Pipeline coverage
Open pipeline measured against the target for the period it is expected to close in.
Contact to meeting
How efficiently conversations become booked time, tracked by sequence and segment.
Speed to first response
Elapsed time between an inbound enquiry arriving and a human replying to it.
Quality score
Sampled calls and emails scored against the agreed standard, with coaching attached.
Data accuracy
Records with a valid stage, next step and owner — the condition your forecast depends on.
Reporting runs on your cadence and, where you prefer, inside your own dashboard rather than a separate Nexoryl report.
Systems
The stack the team works in.
The desk works inside the tools you already run, under access you grant and can revoke. Examples of what teams commonly use — not a required stack.
If a tool in your stack is not listed, it is almost certainly still fine. Onboarding covers access, permissions and any tool-specific training before the desk goes live.
Quality and control
How output stays consistent.
Quality is a standing practice with named owners, not an assurance in a proposal.
Sampled review
A set share of calls and emails is scored against an agreed standard every week, by someone who is not on the desk.
Calibration with your team
Your standard and ours are compared on the same records, so "good" means the same thing on both sides.
Coaching, not reporting
Findings return to the individual as coaching within the week, and to the process as a revision where the cause is structural.
Access and data handling
Named accounts at the permission level you set, revocable by you at any time. Work happens in your systems, so customer data stays where your policies already cover it, and the audit trail stays inside your own tooling.
Industries
Where this function is usually deployed.
A managed sales desk behaves differently in a long enterprise cycle than in high-volume transactional selling. See all industries.
Technology
Longer cycles and technical qualification, with the desk feeding a specialist closing team.
SaaS
Trial and demo motions where speed to first response decides most of the outcome.
Professional services
Relationship-led selling where the desk handles research, sequencing and diary management.
Logistics
Tender-driven and route-based selling with heavy quoting and follow-up volume.
Financial services
Tightly scripted outreach inside compliance boundaries your team defines and audits.
Adjacent functions
What Sales connects to.
Sales rarely fails on its own. Where the constraint sits upstream or downstream, these are the functions that usually move with it.
Marketing
Demand, campaigns and the content the desk uses in sequences and follow-up.
Revenue Operations
CRM architecture, routing rules, attribution and the reporting layer underneath both.
Lead Generation
Top-of-funnel volume and list quality, where the constraint is reach rather than conversion.
Business Development
Partnerships and new-market entry, working over longer horizons than the sales desk.
Customer Success
Retention, expansion and renewals once the account is won — the other half of the revenue picture.
Questions
Questions about the Sales department.
If something here is not covered, ask us directly — the answer is usually specific to your motion.
Neither, in the usual sense. An agency runs its own process and reports results; a staffing supplier sends people and leaves the management to you. Nexoryl builds the department: we recruit and train the team, write the process, manage the work daily and answer for the output against agreed measures, inside your systems.
Most start with a single motion and a small desk — often one or two representatives with a manager — so the process can be proven before the headcount grows. Starting narrow also makes the first measurement honest: a small desk with documented process tells you more than a large one without it.
Yours. The desk works in your CRM and sequencing tools under named accounts with the permissions you set, so your pipeline, your reporting and your data governance stay in one place. There is no parallel system and no export step.
A Nexoryl operations manager runs scheduling, workload, escalations, coaching and performance conversations, and is accountable for daily output. Your team sets direction and priorities and joins a regular review. You are not absorbing the management load.
It depends on the length of your sales cycle and how much product training the motion needs, so we set the ramp during design rather than quoting a standard timeline. What is fixed is the order: process documented and systems connected before live contact, then a ramp period with tighter quality sampling.
The review cadence exists to catch that early. Conversion is analysed step by step to locate where the drop is — list quality, message, qualification bar or handover — and the change is made to the process rather than to the target. Where the constraint turns out to sit in another function, we will say so.
Next step
Tell us the number you are trying to move.
A first call covers the motion, the market and the measure. If a sales desk is the wrong answer, we will tell you which function is.
